Leonie Katharina Rehbock

M.Sc. Chemistry

Leonie Katharina Rehbock, born in 1993, started developing an interest in chemical procedures and processes at an early age. This tendency further intensified during her year abroad in the U.S. Throughout her bachelor’s studies at Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences Leonie Katharina Rehbock focused on the field of chemistry and biotechnology and conducted her studies in cooperation with one of the largest German chemical companies.

In her experimental bachelor‘s thesis Leonie Katharina Rehbock performed experiments on the UV-induced fast curing of cycloaliphatic epoxy resins. In 2016, Leonie Katharina Rehbock graduated from her chemistry and biotechnology studies with a bachelor's degree.

For her subsequent master’s studies Leonie Katharina Rehbock moved to Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf to pursue her scientific focus on macromolecular chemistry. Leonie Katharina Rehbock master's thesis, which was also conducted in collaboration with the above-mentioned chemical company, focused on the synthesis of acrylate-based polymers with adhesion-promoting groups, wherein Leonie Katharina Rehbock could acquire further knowledge in industrial research. She successfully graduated from her studies in 2018 with a master’s degree in chemistry.

Along with her studies Leonie Katharina Rehbock gained practical experience working in various areas of the chemical industry over the course of several years.

In October 2018, Leonie Katharina Rehbock started her training in the field of intellectual property law with the law firm of VON ROHR Patent Attorneys with the aim to qualify for admittance as patent attorney. She simultaneously studies law for patent attorneys at the University of Hagen.
