In the course of his studies of physics at the TU Dortmund University Sebastian Groh, born in 1981, pursued the idea of bringing theoretical knowledge to application by specializing in the field of applied plasma physics. He successfully graduated in 2008 and gained further experience in interdisciplinary research as part of national and international projects related to the development of methods in analytical chemistry. The activities in this field involved aspects of physics, chemistry and engineering, likewise. In collaboration with research groups in the US and Switzerland Sebastian Groh focused on the development of a novel approach for the chemical characterization of nanoparticles by means of plasma spectroscopy. With the obtained results being the foundation for his dissertation, he was conferred a doctoral degree in physics in 2012.

Sebastian Groh started his professional activity in the field of intellectual property law in 2014 with the firm of VON ROHR Patent Attorneys. Complementarily, he attended and completed studies of civil law for patent attorneys at the University of Hagen as well as internships at the District Court of Düsseldorf and the German patent law authorities in Munich.

After accreditation as a patent attorney, Sebastian Groh became partner of VON ROHR Patent Attorneys. He is counsel and representative for national and international clients across the entire range of intellectual property protection.
